JimsBots publishes The JimsBots Brief, a subscription brief at jimsbots.com. This policy explains what we collect and what we do with it, in the same plain language as the brief.
What we collect
- Your email address, when you sign up for the brief.
- Payment details for paid subscriptions are handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. Stripe tells us your subscription status and the email you used at checkout. Stripe's own privacy policy is at stripe.com/privacy.
- Standard web logs (IP address, page requested, browser type) generated by our hosting infrastructure (Amazon Web Services), used for security and aggregate traffic counts.
What we use it for
- Sending you the brief and the welcome package you signed up for.
- Managing your subscription and, for founding subscribers, honoring your locked-in price.
- Understanding aggregate readership (visits, signups) — not individual tracking.
What we don't do
- We do not sell, rent, or share your email address or any subscriber data with anyone.
- We do not run advertising or advertising trackers on this site.
- We do not set cookies on this website.
Who processes data on our behalf
Amazon Web Services (site hosting and email delivery) and Stripe (payments). Each processes only what it needs to provide its service.
Unsubscribing and deleting your data
Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link, honored promptly. To have your email address deleted entirely, write to digest@jimsbots.com and we'll confirm when it's done.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we'll note it in the brief and update the effective date above.
